Istanbul Medipol University

Istanbul Medipol University was established in 2009 by the Turkey Education, Health, and Research Foundation, founded by Fahrettin Koca, the current Minister of Health of Turkey. The university emphasizes medical education and health sciences, offering a wide range of programs across various disciplines. It comprises 12 faculties, five institutes, and four vocational schools. In 2015, the Faculty of Law became a member of the European Law Faculties Association, and in 2023, the university joined the United Nations Academic Impact. The Medipol Mega University Hospital, located in Bağcılar, serves as a training facility for students, offering practical courses and internship programs. The university is ranked 1201+ globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 and 351-400 in the QS World University Rankings 2024 for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It is also ranked 786th in Clinical Medicine by U.S. News & World Report 2024. ​
