London/United KingdomThe University of Law (ULaw) is a private, for-profit institution in the United Kingdom, established in 1962 as The College of Law of England and Wales. It was granted university status in 2012, becoming the UK's first for-profit educational institution to do so. ULaw offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in law, business, psychology, criminology, policing, and computer science, among others.
ULaw has a strong emphasis on employability, with over 250 lecturers who are qualified lawyers and business professionals. The university provides high levels of student-to-lecturer contact time and small class sizes, which are reasons many firms insist their trainees study there. It also offers award-winning pro bono programs, allowing students to gain valuable work experience by helping real clients from the local community.
In the National Student Survey 2024, ULaw was ranked 7th in England for the quality of teaching. Additionally, in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), ULaw received an overall Silver rating, with a Gold rating for Student Experience and Silver for Student Outcomes.
