Cranfield University

Cranfield University is a specialist postgraduate public research university in the United Kingdom, renowned for its expertise in science, engineering, technology, and management. Established in 1946 as the College of Aeronautics, it gained university status in 1969 and adopted its current name in 1993. 

The university operates two campuses: the main campus in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, and a second campus at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom in Shrivenham, Oxfordshire. The Cranfield campus is unique in the UK for having its own airport, Cranfield Airport, which is used for teaching and research purposes.
