College of the Canyons

College of the Canyons (COC) is a public community college located in Santa Clarita, California. Established in 1969, it is part of the California Community College system, the largest system of higher education in the U.S., serving 1.9 million students across 116 accredited colleges . 

The college offers a wide range of academic programs, including 103 associate degree programs and 199 certificate programs, catering to students seeking transfer and career technical education. It serves approximately 37,182 students annually at its Valencia and Canyon Country campuses . 

COC is known for its innovative partnerships, including the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center at the Valencia campus, which allows students to earn bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from partner institutions, eliminating the need to commute long distances for advanced degrees .
